Kelley Elliott, M.Ed.
Tennessee born and bred, Kelley Elliott is the Founder and Principal Director of Sprout Impact, LLC, a social impact company that supports change makers, nonprofits, and philanthropists who want to foster social change in local communities.
Kelley is a civic engagement expert, known for building community-driven initiatives. The scope of her work includes creating voter education engagement initiatives, local and international early childhood education programs, and social justice reform efforts She has also helped develop and launch immigration, climate, health care, and other issue campaigns, and has led state, local, and national election efforts.
You can catch her with a mug filled with hot tea, cell phone, and laptop taking meetings with volunteers, civic mentees, civic entrepreneurs, community partners, campus leaders, and community change-makers. She spends the majority of her days helping to build some of the state’s and country’s most visible civic engagement programs.
Kelley’s superpower is being a “spark plug” for making things happen (the name given to her by a civic volunteer). She has an authentic love and compassion for inspiring the potential in people.
Kelley received a B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University in 1995, and a Masters of Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2000. She is passionate about civic engagement, intercultural community competency, and the development of a person's human potential, derived from her first passion, early childhood education.
She loves reading civic practitioner books with her civic book club, she loves national and state parks, puzzles, rocking chairs, biking, hiking, boating and golfing. Her fuel comes from her love of family and friends but most of all time with her husband David, and three children Jack (22), Atlee (16) and Elsie (14) playing the board game sequence. She was born and raised in Nashville,and has lived and raised her family in Chattanooga, TN for the past 25 years.
