Tara has lived in Hamilton County, TN for most of her life. She's a graduate of Red Bank High School, UT Chattanooga and UT Knoxville. Tara holds a M.S. in Social Work, M.Ed in Special Education and is currently pursuing a PhD in Transformative Social Change from Saybrook University in Oakland, CA. She has worked in social services and education for more than 20 years. Tara enjoys volunteering, teaching, and practicing yoga, spending time with her husband, children and dogs. She's passionate about finding creative ways to solve problems in her community, mentoring, and improving her community through advocacy and volunteer work.
